In the home we are renting the laundry room is right next to the thermostat. I have found in the last few weeks that is not a very good thing in summer when you use your dryer. My AC ran non stop all day on laundry day. My solution? I bought an outside umbrella line dryer. It came earlier this week and I got it installed this morning. Good thing because laundry was piling up around here. So far so good with the AC running. Now I will just have to see what I think about the feel of line dried clothing. If you have any tips for me please comment.
I also tried to put up the kids pool today. Alas it did not make it through the winter, or the move for that matter. I think I have decided that blow up pools are not for us. They never seem to make it more than one year. The kids are very disappointed.

In the humid weather I don’t know it could be very different. Here in CA I shake clothes before putting on the line, use downey and for some I fluff for 10 min in the dryer so they are softer and wrinkle free.
Sorry about the pool guys. Hope you get one soon. Love, Grammy

I did shake them pretty good, I also heard vinegar works really well in the rinse cycle instead of fabric softener. It worked really well for most of the towels, and the Jeans came out less stiff than I expected. I didn’t get to much else other than towels and Jeans today. Tomorrow I’ll try the rest of our clothes.
Do fluff before or after line drying?
