The Awe Factor

R.C Sproul wrote, “Men are never duly touched and impressed with a conviction of their insignificance, until they have contrasted themselves with the majesty of God.

I just started reading the book Crazy Love by Francis Chan, for a bible study at church.  I have only read the preface and the first page an a half of the first chapter.  I have already been challenged to stop talking at God.  To look at Him, through His creation to see His invisible qualities and His divine nature.  Come before Him not to say words, but instead to stand in awe of Him.

Chan writes, “The Core problem isn’t the fact that we’re lukewarm, halfhearted, or stagnant Christians.  The crux of it all is why we are this way, and it’s because we have an inaccurate view of God.  We see Him as a benevolent Being who is satisfied when people manage to fit Him into their lives in some small way.  We forget that God never had an identity crisis.  He knows that He’s great and deserves to be the center of our lives.

I hope you will watch this video and stand in awe of who He is as I did when I saw it.
