You weren’t talking to me!

Ally got up from her nap yesterday.  She loves hugs and kisses.  She came into the living room where I was sitting at the time texting my sister-in law. I got my hug and kiss from her, then she just stood there.  I finished and sent the text and looked at her and she was on the verge of tears.  Ally what’s wrong?  She looks up at me with her big blue eyes and says, “you weren’t talking to me”.  Now she is in full tears.  What did you want me to talk to you about?  “I don’t know?”  Oh the drama. Then I started to think, how often do I do this to my husband?

I recently started reading a book that I have read before, but should really read every month or two.  It’s called The Power of a Praying Wife, by Stormie Omartian. It has been reminding me how important it is for me to pray for my family, especially my husband.  Their are 30 chapters, a specific thing to pray for your husband each day of the month (ie his work, purpose, protection).  I have challenged myself to pray for him in this way this month.

Great reminder… I’ve got another book that is very similar and need to do the same thing. I think it’s called, Praying Big for Your Marriage.
Good reminder for all of us to take it easy on our poor husbands who have to figure out how to handle our wide range of emotions and most of all to pray for them.

Ah, one of my favorite books. I just gave tow away on my blog. I’m new over at CSAHM too, so I thought I’d stop in and say hi.

I’m glad you did. I’m not only new to CSAHM but also do blogging. I’ll have to come stop by your blog. Thanks.
