Well I am finally going to finish posting pictures from our trip to Florida. We got to go to a place called Fun Spot. The kids loved it. It had all kinds of rides and no waiting in line. We even got Jay and Ally to go on a roller coaster. Timmy and Jessica love the roller coasters, but big brother and sister are a bit more apprehensive.
The kids looked so forward to Magic Kingdom ever since Grandma told them they would get to go when they came to visit her. They were extremely excited to say the least.
We decided to take the ferry over to the park and the monorail back that night. Ally, Timmy, Jess, were excited to take the ferry. Teagan could care less she was just having fun no matter what.
Jay on the other hand was not happy with our decision and would not stand with us. He pouted in the center of the ferry, and made faces at us. Thankfully as soon as we got off the ferry his attitude adjusted itself and he didn’t ruin the whole day for himself.
After the lights parade, Mark, Grandpa, and the younger two kids went home, they were worn out and done with the park. Grandma, the older three kids and I stayed to see what else we could ride. We had a blast.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the great memories!
We had an amazing time in Florida! So thankful for the opportunity to get away as a family and spend some time together. We also got extremely spoiled by my in-laws.
Timmy didn’t make it through our first dinner in Florida. We had driven all through the night and arrived that morning, but I guess he didn’t get enough sleep.
Downtown Disney is a fun place love the restaurants. Grandma chose this one just for Timmy. Teagan was a bit scared of the dinosaurs. Jessica didn’t make it through her dinner this time.
It actually became fun to see if Jessica would make it through dinner each night or not. She more often than not fell asleep while the rest of us ate. We tried a Japanese Steakhouse, it was a hit. The kids all loved the food and the show.
I have way too many pictures to put in one post so I am going to split them up some. We got to go to Magic Kingdom for a day, the beach, Fun Spot USA, Sea World, and then just hung out at Downtown Disney. We fit tons of fun, and I hope tons of memories for the kids. We were worn out, but so glad for the time together.
Well I am very behind on this blog. Oh well life happens. I wanted to post a few pictures of Teagans Birthday. Can’t believe my baby girl is two years old now.
December is always a busy month. Jayden’s birthday, Christmas, New Year. This year we added in a heart ablation for Jayden, He did Great! Sometimes it’s hard to slow down and enjoy this time of year. This year I really tried though. To me at least it seemed much more enjoyable, the kids and I didn’t do a whole lot of school work, just the basics, and read books on what the true meaning of Christmas is. Jesus Christ came to earth as a baby, to become our Savior.
We enjoyed our time with family this month. The kids even got some snow this year.
We had some good friends over for games on New Years Eve. And let the kids stay up till Midnight. Ally was so excited.
And you can’t end the year without a good Timmy story. He was lurking in the kitchen and we knew he was up to something. Jayden and Ally had both come and asked for dessert and gotten it, Timmy didn’t ask, but was holding a plate with a scotcheroo. I said Tim you didn’t ask for anything. Well I was getting this for someone else. Oh Really? Who? Ummm and sticking it out towards me YOU! Oh Thank You! He had a look on his face as if he didn’t know what to do next, I said do you need something? Well I’m still hungry. Oh really, what would you like? Can I have a treat? Would you like this scotcheroo? Yes Please, with a big smile on his face.
I am still living in denial that it is already December of 2012. This year has flown by, and I know this month will do the same. As I sit here on December 3 typing this, it is 73 degrees outside. Talk about crazy times. My kids are hoping for some snow this year as they got none last year.
This weekend we were going to go as a family to see the “The Grinch” at the Granada Theater in town, and then attend the Christmas parade. Instead Mark came down with pneumonia on Thursday and spent the weekend sick and unable to speak. I am so thankful to my mother-in-law, for taking my two little ones so that I could still take the older three to the movie and parade. It was fun, although we all wished Daddy could have been with us.
We forgot to bring bags of for any candy they got at the parade. My children can be very creative though, they turned their coats around back wards zipped them up and put the candy in the hoods.
I am looking forward to this week, Jay’s birthday tomorrow. Can’t believe he is going to be 8. A cookie exchange with friends. And taking the kids to see a performance of the Nutcracker.
The kids were talking the other day and it went something like this. Jayden When I grow up I’m going to be a painter like Daddy. Timmy When I grow up I’m going to be a pilot, no a painter, no a pilot, no a painter like Daddy, no I think I really want to be a pilot. Ally When I grow up I’m going to be a gardener, and grow flowers and sell them, except the ones I like. Jessica When I grow up I’m going to be a princess. This was said with a very dreamy look in her eye.
Well for Timmy I think perhaps a painter is not his best choice. A few days later Mark took him to work for the day. It started out well, they stopped for a treat at the gas station, which put a great smile on Timmy’s face. Then off to work. While Mark patched a wall Timmy decided to check out the strange pipes coming out of the ground in the middle of the room. It had a nice little lever on it. Yep, that was the water pipes, Timmy decided to pull the lever, Mark with something in both hands finally kicked the lever back to the off position, and then got to proceed in drying off the wall, and the drop ceiling that was now soaking wet.
As the day continued it became more apparent Timmy had chosen rightly in not being a painter. To end the lovely day, they were at a customers home, dropping off an invoice, and she was enjoying talking to Timmy, who had strict instructions not to talk unless spoken to and not to touch anything. Well he politely responded when asked if he wanted a drink with yes. He was given grape juice of course. In trying to nicely place the cup on the counter after his drink he hit the side of the counter and spilled the juice all over the Bose radio and remote.
Well he made it home alive but I don’t think he will get to go on a work day with Dad for some time.
I have been wanting to organize my mudroom since moving here. There are always shoes everywhere, dirt everywhere, and no place to hang anything. I have been searching on pinterest for a while and found several plans that I liked pieces of. I finally figured out my plans and adjusted them to fit my space. I love my new mudroom.
